Developing a UX system to create a suite of apps.
My big task for this project was to create a suite of apps for Xbox 360 (C#/XAML) that utilized a single backened implementation, and branch them to reflect the different branding for each of the three Disney channels: Disney, Disney Junior, and Disney XD. The UX on each of these apps was slightly different than the others, which made it extra important for me to develop a robust development system to keep everything organized.
For this project I had to bridge the gap between design and development more than I ever had previously. I worked closely with both our designer as well as Disney's design team to help achieve a vision for these apps that pushed the limits of what Xbox 360 was capable of doing from a technical standpoint. This challenge tested my ability to explain complex technical challeges and interpret them for non-technical stakeholders. By the end of the project I wound up taking the platform beyond its previously-known capabilities, and delivering a solid suite of apps.
