Developing an IA to support thousands of TV shows and movies.
We developed a massive app for Time Warner Cable to allow its customers to watch TV and movies on the Xbox One as an alternative to a cable box. As a developer on this project, I created UI patterns to support the massive number of offerings and various aspect ratios of the images provided by the company's pre-existing data feeds.
After the designer on this project was done, I became the design lead — implementing feedback, changing brand colors, and updating massive design decks as appropriate all while maintaining my role as developer. Part of this design role included updating branding assets for the Xbox 360 version of the app, which was previously developed and needed a facelift due to the rebranding that conincided with the Xbox One launch.
